NaNo WriMo Day 3
November 4, 2009
So it’s the end of day 3 of my first NaNo WriMo and I’m trailing behind already. To stay on track I should have about 7,000 words as of tomorrow. Sadly I’m at a mere 2,552 words. Which isn’t bad considering I haven’t spend much time writing, maybe 3 or 4 hours. However I know I’ll be free this weekend and I should be able to catch up.
To help me stay on track I bought this net book. And it’s helping me stay focused or at least gives me the freedom to type anywhere. It’s nice to be able to pick up and do some writing whenever you’ve got a few minutes. It was either 300 bucks on this mini computer or a brand new PS3, so I better write a New York Times best seller. Although I’m sure the feeling of accomplishment from writing my first novel will be more satisfying than beating my first PS3 title. At least I hope so.
Entering the fast paced world of fast paced writing
October 29, 2009
As of November 1 I’ll be entering into the National Novel Writing Month contest thing. I’ve got just one month to finish a 20,000 50,000 word novel beginning to end. I’m relying on the fact that, for the most part, my blog entries are around 150 words. So I just have to do four ELEVEN blog posts worth of writing, everyday, for the entire month. Will I make it? Probably not. With all the other things I was planning to do like, relaxing and staring at the wall for hours. I’m trying to get Kyle involved but he’s being a baby, which is extremely encouraging.
The story I’m hoping to write revolves around two robots in a post-apocalyptic city just trying to get by. It covers their miss adventures and hopefully we all learn a lil something along the way. It’s the story I was hoping to turn into a graphic novel but depending on how it works out, I might keep it as a novel.
Even if it doesn’t get finished, it’ll be a start. And at the end of the day, you can’t get anywhere with starting somewhere.
Word count: 180 woohoo!
REboot
October 26, 2009
As of today I have reinstated my former blog so that I can have a respectable place to put up my paintings. Only within the last month did I realize my growing passion for painting, and working in real world mediums. With this I will be taking a permanent break from animation, motion graphics, webdesign, or anything that requires more than an hour on the computer. The reception of my work so far as been positive, and the ideas are still flowing so with that I encourage you to check out my work and feel free to comment.
Cheers
